Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Multiple phone calls to supervisors. Waited 2 weeks to get my money back after t mobile billed me in advance for the month of May.
Phone replaced through Assurant for TMobile, damaged phone returned within 7 days per instructions. Proof of return with confirmation and delivery information provided.
Charged $599.40 yesterday for non returned phone.
Again I have proof phone was returned as directed in box provided. Now neither company will return my money.

Refused to pay for my roof damage because my roof was to new. I explained that the shingles were no longer in stock.
Was told by my adjusted Tanya Kunckle that was not her problem. That my policy did not cover me having the same color shingles on my roof. She was rude unprofessional and said the claim was closed and there was nothing we could do about it.
Tonya refused to give me her supervisors name and number. I did call her supervisor and left several messages , no call was returned by the supervisor Raquel Barber.

It seems that Assurant is purposely putting off and purposely delaying our claim. We were told to take device to the Assurant repair store to get our claim completed.
There we were told too much damage, they will replace, after a half work day lost arguing with Assurant that they do have a location in the town they sent me to. Two days later, I check status of claim , no word at all from them , they needed more info to move forward. They left us just waiting ? This ordeal is way too long to continue on one post.
I will leave our situation here for now . Still no replacement and no approval 3 days later.

We are currently working with Assurant for our Lowes washer. Its been serviced and we were notified that Assurant had moved the status to buyout on 2/18/25.
We were notified 2-3 days for processing. Yesterday Nico told us wed receive an update by end of day, 2/21/25. It didnt happen. Its now been 3 weeks and our laundry costs exceed $200.
We need a timely response how our protection plan will be processed. You can reach us by phone, email, text.
Customer service let us down by stating a timeline that was not fulfilled. We are hopeful your company will make this right.

I 2 25. Dryer quit.
Service came out abdcit needed a simple switch. Nearly one month later all I.have seen is emails and cancellation after waiting over 8 hours 2 days each time.
They don't even gave the courtesy to let you know early on the morning. They make you wait all day long.
The worst customer service i have ever seen in a company.
My roof was damaged in a wind store. The shingles that are currently on the roof are no longer made.
Tonya Kunkel my adjuster told me that they did not have to replace all the shingles, even if they are not longer made. Tonya refused to send me to her supervisor and told me the case was closed. The rudest most unprofessional person i have ever worked with. Now I have a damaged roof and assurant refuses to pay for it.
So much for paying your premiums, it wont do you any good if you have a claim. I intend to take this issue as far as i can, so everyone knows what kind of people Assurant hires.

There isn't enough words to describe the atrocities we are going through. First off a I have autoimmune diseases and I'm a Single FATHER of 3 boys and also one of his friends.
Long story short we are on section 8 housing and have been for over 3 years. We were told from a Lloyd companies representative that we had water damage and mold damage and mold damage you have to do what's called a pack out and throw away 95 percent of your personal things. We did so. Our clothes our furniture our sentiments that have no monetary value.
In order for us to move we needed special accommodations form completed. I'm on section 8. I'm a football coach and if a player makes a bunch of antics you would think the team and coaches are the problem he is an extension of the team. We'll our apartment manager at the time was an extension of LLOYD COMPANIES IN SIOUX FALLS SD!!!
lloyd sent an email to housing saying a mold test was conducted and we had mold cultures and water damage and that's why we needed to move! I moved over 2 buildings by myself never recieved a claim for moving expenses, fast food, laundry no type of money like they claim or hotels. I had to fix up an unready apartment. Not a private owned apartment but LLOYD COMPANIES a gigantic cooperation in Sioux Falls SD.
I sent photos I sent everything they needed. My apartment manager that had filled in during the termination or resignation of the previous manager who had no knowledge on the case said to my adjuster we had no mold and took her word for it. Lloyd told housing we had mold to receive money but said we didn't when we filed our claim. I paid for 6 months it's a waste of time and money.
I went 5 weeks without being contacted. I sent the email from LLOYD companies to housing to thr adjuster showing such and she did nothing. I have retained legal council and have 1700 plus photos or videos of the damages and all things ruined. I have the blatant disrespect and disregard to what I had to say.
She would be talking to me and cut me off and didn't care or was empathetic for my situation. I've fell beyond repair from this. I know it's mold I'm 41 and worked in the field my whole life that would pertain to mold or situations thereof. The manager is an extension of the company and she told us we had mold wether we did or didn't is redundant because she told us we did and that lead to us moving, filling out special accommodations forms with housing, throwing away our home and filing a claim.
I want our 19,800 it should be alot more regardless if I get it legal ramifications are coming. I know deep down they laughing like i won't do anything but I promise pay close attention. You will read about it in the papers. I called 6 days straight to speak to Assurant supervisors and got Geicko ones and just today finally got Assurant and it went through 3 different voicemails for Anna, Umberto, and Alex and I left them all a message so I can tell them the tales of woah and hope they can do something before I take a legal action in more than 100 times what I'm filing now and 100 times is quite a bot, not to them but to me it's life changing!!!
Hopefully one of these supervisors change my whole view of the company as a whole. AN EXTENSION OF THE COMAPNY CAN REFLECT ON THE COMAPNY SUCH AS MY APARTMENT MANAGER AND HER JOB. So if things go well I will come back and submit a positive review. I hope and pray that I am able to make a positive post and end up disregarding this, but as of now it's so so horrible.
A waste of time and my life. I'm already sick and don't have a good quality amount of life left being as sick as I am and this is all literally been a waste of my time. I refuse to quit though. I won't be this companies stepping stone nor the apartment I live at.
I went to cancel my policy it says "are you sure you could get into trouble where you live" lol is that a threat it's feels demeaning. I'm shocked totally by what happened. I'm ashamed Geicko had represented my family in a good manner since I was young. Buried a few of My family members with your polices or third parties globe life ect.
It's blatantly in the represetives face "kylie" she was given the information. The person who works for section 8 signs the vouchers here and my apartment manager said he could be lying it might not be LLoyd.
So I told him that was said hoping he steers clear doing business with her. My apartment is ran down and in looking at Assurant Ratings I OBVIOUSLY MADE ONE OF THE WORSE CHOICE OF MY LIFE.

I have been on chat with several agents today regarding my desire to file a claim to replace a damaged screen on my Iphone 15 pro max. I finally talked to a supervisor in the claims department (she said her name was Susan) and she started a claim for me.
She sent me a link to complete the claim, and every time I try to complete the claim, I get a message that says the information I provided doesn't match your records. I tried again to reach "Susan", and couldn't get through. I tried again to chat with someone, and they told me I had to get a whole new phone and pay the $275 deductible. On your website, a company (CPR) in Columbus, GA repairs screens is listed as a provider for Assurant, and I mentioned this to Susan.
She said, yes, it would only cost $29 to repair the screen with the insurance. When I called CPR, they said all they needed was the claim number in order to repair the screen. However, I can't seem to get a claim number from anyone at Assurant because they insist on sending a new phone!
This should be a simple fix. PLEASE HELP

Horrible. I wish I could say more, but I'm a single father of 3 and have several illnesses.
We lost our entire home during the pack out. We had documentation from Federal Housing stating the mold sample was positive. I know there was mold, but even if there hadn't been mold, the representative of Lloyd Companies took it upon themselves to say as much. I just don't understand how they would say that in an email and then not.
My worker asked for the proof, I sent it, and it wasn't good enough. They took the word of our brand new apartment manager who came 6 months after the damage was done. She pretends to know it all even though we lived in an entirely different building. So, I just nodded my head in agreement and let her ramble her nonsense.
This put us back more than the $19,800 claim and the ability to file up to $100K. No worker looked into it in anyway. I made several complaints to the state insurance board and got legal representation. I was told I can run a class action lawsuit with one, and a whole different lawsuit with the apartment itself after a representative said I couldn't!
I've talked to 5 supervisors through Geiko but not Assurant. They tried to have my representative call me, but I asked for her boss and supervisor. I can't speak to her after she has disregarded us and denied our claim after I put the evidence in her face on 2 different occasions! I'm appalled.
School starts; we have no clothes and no furniture for over 7 months. I don't have employment due to being disabled and a volunteer football and basketball youth coach!!! Just so disappointed. I prayed on it and I know God won't allow the company to do us wrong.
If the questionnaire is asking about someone contacting me, then yes... Was it the correct person... no no no no!!! And no.
Oh did I say no! As I said, I'm not looking to speak to an agent but her employer or supervisor.

File a formal complaint. When it was time to fix the laptop under warranty, they refused to do so.
Then they brought excuses that it was outside of the warranty period! After writing to the Commissioners of Insurance in my state as well as the state their underwriter was at (Delaware), they had to step up to the plate and accept the claim for the laptop. My advice: do not give up in chasing them... It took me 8 months of emailing and calling many departments.
This company and their underwriter have gotten millions of consumer money with no consequences.
Do not let them off the hook. File a formal complaint with your state and let it sit there and be documented.

Assurant renewed my renter's insurance policy without my consent, even though I had canceled through Turbo Tenant as the lease was finished. They decided to keep the hundred dollars that they took out of my account.
They are fraudulent and thieves, with no regard or care for the consumer. Buyers, beware.

Nobody is calling me back about my claim!!!!
I filed a claim about some damage to my home and was given claim number. I have called numerous times and nobody has ever called about my claim.
I leave messages for my claim adjuster and havent heard anything from anyone.
I will be switching insurance companies. Assurant is awful!
