This company has taken upon themselves to deny the claims due to Hurricane María. They send Adjusters that knew nothing about the type of construction done in the island and they were giving suggestions, like: Oh!

You could put some silicone on that and it will be better...

I didn't go to the company for a quick fix, I bought an insurance, so when and emergency like this happens, I can be cover and repair my home to its former self. I added some pictures of how my house was affected by the hurricane and the fact that Assurant thinks that it's not worth their time!

Product or Service Mentioned: Assurant Homeowners Policy Claim.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Construction is construction, island or mainland. If you think you've been wrongly denied, pursue the case to the next level.

Throw the telephone out the window ; you must handle this in writing and serve each document via Certified Mail return receipt requested. Establish an admissible timeline by means of documentation.
